Australia v England, 2nd Test, 4th December 0400

The last time Joe Root came to the crease with the score above 100 in a Test match was in August 2021 against India at Headingley, Leeds.

In that specific match (the third Test of the series):

England's first wicket fell with the score on 35.

The second wicket fell with the score on 100.

Joe Root came to the crease at number 4 with the score at 100/2.

He went on to score his 23rd Test century, making 121 runs.
Where have you got that from?

That isn't true as Crawley/Duckett have multiple century stands. I reckon they will have ones with Pope too.

just the same old garbage, collapse when the pressure is on to come up with a performance. Weak willed and theres no penalty, no players are going to be dropped as there nobody to come in

this has whitewash written all over it

nothing has changed from the first test...no chnage of play, no trying something different

its just hit and hope...and when that fails we just get skittled out...its terrible test cricket

While looking at partnerships for England during McCullum to the surprise of absolutely nobody.

But we've had 27 pairs of batsman that have scored 188 runs or more batting together in total.

Crawley and Pope batting together has the lowest average of 24.93. Comfortably the worst as well.

Its not even cricket, even t20 has more thought out batting strategy compared to this. Its like bloody rounders

And they're off for a week's break from cricket before Adelaide test. "Fingers up to all our followers,we'll do our own thing". Their arrogance knows no bounds.
228.5 overs bowled in 3 full days.

Over 40 overs light of what they should be bowling. Almost half a day's cricket.
Look at it positively -prevents defeat in 3 days.
