Ok, sorry, I wasn't trying to be pedantic, it was just that it may be why there hasn't been an englishman for a while as we've had a turn so to speak and there are other countries.

I guess looking back, it is surprising how long some of the presidents have remained in that role, it makes you think if it was due to the power they had and people were fearful of going up against them, perhaps they were very good in the role and popular or maybe there was no one else willing to step in.

In a role like that, it does make you think that perhaps it should be regularly rotated, say a mandatory term of 4 years and the current president has to stand down or something like that. The other argument is why change someone if they are performing. Ultimately, I think FIFA has lost trust, I don't think Infantino has done anything to help rebuild that trust and improve the brand from an ethical standpoint, perhaps it's too far gone for that now but it just seems they go where the money is.

If Infantino is not corrupt I would be amazed. Football and sport in general do not mix with politics. Having trumpy there last night does that. Be interesting to see if the peace prize gets awarded again..

Was a difficult watch on the screen. It was supposedly a ceremony about the World Cup. Can’t imagine being in the room and not calling them out for this. Bet there was a stampede for the exits, surely? What a couple of clowns.
