Actually I’m wrong there’s no way twats like Pope would be playing for England if Flower was in charge.

See I disagree. I think Pope is one of the few batsman with the technique to play test match cricket successfully. But not with this set up. He’s given a license to play in a manner he should not be playing in.

As you say, a coach like Flower, or Kirsten or anyone who demands standards of temperament and discipline in a long format game, would be far better for him.

I get strong Ian bell ability off him but absolutely zero application and the bigger issue is a massive lack of accountability

I wanted Kirsten to get the job after Silverwood was sacked.

I think a small part of the problem is that he’s not a number 3. He’s a 5 or 6.
