So we’ve pitched up in Australia, had no proper preparation, played some golf, batted horrifically three times and bowled horrifically twice and effectively burned any chance of regaining the Ashes after 4 days of cricket. Players already look lethargic.

It’s a big ask on some of the bowlers.

Archer has barely played test cricket for 4 or so years.
Stokes is flogging himself and has had injury problems for a while.
Carse isn’t good enough.
Atkinson I also have doubts about.
Jacks doesn’t look up to it and is a part timer at best.

That said, who else is there? Stone? Wood if fit? Robinson?

Robinson averaged 25 here last time.

I know he's a lazy twat. But I'd rather pick the players with the best skills.

Should have found a way to sort him out rather than just give up on him.
