Australia v England, 2nd Test, 4th December 0400

Bit of a boon that Cummins and Hazlewood still aren’t available. Can we bat sensibly and take advantage this time?
Surprised Cummins didn't make it given the chat about him in the nets in Perth and that he's been bowling with the pink ball and have nearly 2 weeks to recover between tests.

Another massive opportunity for England, just actually need to bat big and put some overs into Starc and Bolands legs

I think he’d have played if England had won the First Test. As it is, with them 1-0 up and already having the best pink ball bowler in the world I suppose they feel they can give him more rest.

Spot on.

I’d imagine they’ll be pretty relaxed given the England performance.

Then have Hazelwood and Cummins with an extra couple of weeks rest/rehab for the final three.

That first test has absolutely broken a few mind. Rage and hate seeping from them.

Agreed. Although our bowlers should also be licking their lips on the first test showing.

Imagine having 2 of the worlds best bowlers and just not bothering with them because it’s so easy for you to win😂😂
That's definitely what's happening.... I'm sure people have forgotten with 4 sessions gone Australia had almost lost the test match.

Mind, I can't see us getting anything from the second test with the pink ball so haway the rain. Will also help if our bowlers don't skittle them this time round too.

How had Australia almost lost the test match?
They were 100 behind with 11 sessions to go.

And nor should they tbf. Their bowlers did a job last time. But people are still going OTT and being far too emotional.
Individuals are different. It's a forum with widely different opinions. People get upset at supposedly elite cricketers refusing to seek ways to improve their performance. They don't see it as OTT or being over emotional.
They're fully entitled to an opposing viewpoint without being demeaned for it.

The usual negative crack.

You don't rest your captain if he's fit. Absolutely ridiculous suggestion. Hazelwood was never going to play in this test. He only done his hamstring a couple of weeks ago.

I'm confident of a better showing against an average Australian team, especially without 2 of their best bowlers.
