The Tifo

When you’re in London and the bairns say “Hey look, it’s Big Ben!!” I bet you’re the person who point out that Big Ben is actually the name of the bell and it is not in fact possible to “see” Big Ben from street level. “What you’re actually looking at is the Elizabeth II Tower”

“Hey look! The Statue of Liberty”

“I think you’ll find the structure you’re looking at is in fact called ‘Liberty Enlightening the World”

You stupid boy.

Appreciate the effort but it’s a no from me.

Preferred the black cat…….but even then, not fussed tbh.

Prefer more choruses of ‘wise men say’.

The recent tifos have been absolutely class. Made the club and the supporters look mint. The Worm was such a good idea, hats off.

I do hope we use tifos sparingly though because it’s case of diminishing returns.

From what’s iv seen on socials the mags seem to be fuming and can’t take anything around north east folklore been associated with Sunderland, they really were brainwashed with the whole Geordie nation crap and implode if any national attention is on us
It’s literally penshaw ffs couldn’t be more Sunderland if it tried. They’ve got a weird claim to anything not nailed down in the north east like.

I read that in the voice of Chevy Chase

For anyone who hasn’t seen it - or wants a point of reference to educate the clueless - here’s the battle with the Worm from Bryan Talbot’s version of the story in Alice in Sunderland.

Note the nice little touch at the end where Sir John Lambton volleys its head into the Wear. Carlos Edwards would have been proud of that shot.
Just bought this book Absolutely amazing piece of work
