Club loan taken out

I think while it's all tongue in cheek regarding the Europe it's nice we're actually thinking ahead with this. Didn't we famously collapse winter seasons of 99/00 and 2000/01.
Early days yeah but rather we're thinking of getting reinforcements in regardless where we are come January

what’s with all the negativity - GET YER PASSPORTS RENEWED THE EUROPEAN PUSH IS ON!
Have you ever seen a Mackem outside Lincoln Red Imps' ground in Gibraltar, have you ever seen a Mackem outside Lincoln Red Imps' ground in Gibraltar, have you ever seen a Mackem outside Lincoln Red Imps' ground in Gibraltar, have you ever seem a Mackem, ever seem a Mackem, ever seem a Mackem, ever seem a Mackem outside Lincoln Red Imps' ground in Gibraltar.....

No. One is a facility akin to your bank letting you go £250 overdrawn say. The other is them lending us an amount equivalent to four months of PL payments, and us repaying them over the same period. It's basically a short term loan whch happens to be secured. The Akura facility is longer term.
How much is 4 months PL tv payments likely to be?

Catchy.

I had to look them up when I saw their result recently. Must be a story there somewhere.

No one knows whether it's good news or bad news as it all depends, surely, on why we want the money now?
Don't think it can be anything particularly bad tbh when its going to be cleared by April. Its not mortgaged against future tv revenue that we might not get... its all guaranteed income we just want to take earlier.

Yeah but for what though - are we cash strapped ATM or are we intending to spend big in January? I dont know but the first one isn't good news but the second one is good news.

Brentford and spurs have reportedly did the same this season.

You aren't really cash strapped when its all money owed during the financial year anyway.

You seem to think its as simple as either the club are in dire straights or have another war chest for January:lol: the reality is its neither. Theres a huge bit in between them like

What's the in-between bit?

Spurs are the best run club in the PL financially and they've done the same.

It could be anything from starting refurb of the ground early as they can, could be doing some work at the academy, they could be settling the overdraft. Who knows?

But I don't see it being anything sinister. We will have low running costs still relative to other teams and are in the richest league around.
