Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

Think he'll be central during the AFCON at least when we're missing both Diarra and Sadiki.

Would think so but we also have 3 wingers missing with only Mundle hopefully fit.

I guess when the group stages finish as the transfer window opens it'll depend who comes back to the squad.

The Brighton away, Leeds and Man City home games he could be playing anywhere. If we are planning on using Mayenda out wide you'd think we'd try him in one or two games as a sub out there beforehand, same with Isidor. Otherwise it could be Rigg and Mundle if Le Fee is in the middle.

Let's just say I'm glad I'm not the one picking

He said "as big a club" in that interview by the way.

It was an interview with their in-house media, he was hardly going to say "Sunderland are a bigger club but I'm happy to be here as I wasn't going to get minutes there and this was the best option on the table".
I’m delighted to join the next biggest club that would have me

Good player. Is Traore an upgrade? Tomotoe tomato
On the evidence of the Wolves game - very limited, I concede - I'd have Roberts over Traore every time.
Traore's passing was poor and ball retention was lax. He looked very under par.
But the comments about Paddy's lack of athleticism and running power have got it spot on. We have shifted emphasis this season and Roberts does not fit the mould.

Was directly responsible for two of our promotions recently. Deserves more respect
Yeah not sure if "bog standard championship player" was meant as an insult or more an offhanded comment, but given how he was a regular in a promoted side what does that make us?
