So not just by the City Graand in NottinghamWith the sea so close it happens all the time here![]()
Got so used to parking in southwick, it’s years since I ve went to the match and gone from the town side. Wouldn’t even know where to park these days.Actually very surprised at the amount of people I’ve seen say they’ve never been or only been once or twice into the city centre on a matchday. Just shows what a game changer this bridge is going to be.
University or new Riverside multi storey would be my shouts on the rare occasions I take the car (midweeks).Got so used to parking in southwick, it’s years since I ve went to the match and gone from the town side. Wouldn’t even know where to park these days.
I’ll be in the middle jumping up and down trying to frighten all the scaredy catsIm going over it, but waiting till it's rammed first to make sure it won't collapse![]()
We’ll be singing back sing on the cheap bridgeI'll be walking over the Wearmouth Bridge and revelling in the space and comfort. I might even start a Wearmouth chant and fit it 'Keel wankers' somewhere
I'm sure there must be steps you can take to solve thatAll find this crossing talk a bit pedestrian![]()
Its fun and exciting unless you are dead inside tbhDon't really get the excitement about walking over a bridge tbh. It's closer to me than the other one, so if it's not absolutely rammed I'll use it. Otherwise I'll just use the normal one. Definitely wouldn't be going out of my way to walk over a bridge mind, unless the time savings meant driving in the city centre had just become viable
I'm starting in the IsisMe plus 2
Think it’s the first time in our history we are starting on the south side of the river pre match
Actually any recommendations from the townies?![]()
I feel sick

It's a good link between the stadium and the town, and it's mint for having an extra beer. But it's still just a bridge. If I lived on the north side and went to pubs on the north side I wouldn't be going out of my way just to walk over a bridge. I seem to be in the minority here mind. I'll have a few pints soon and maybe I'll find it an exciting experience later onIt's more than just a bridge

Bit of history ain’t it, there won’t be many more bridges going up over the wear especially this part of it and definitely not in our lifetimes. Was going to go to the women’s rugby just to be the first few to officially walk across but kept it for today as a real Sunderland match. It’s a bit of history hopefully linked to a more successful future that we parade something ower it in our lifetimes.Don't really get the excitement about walking over a bridge tbh.
