Really minor annoyances

Only being in the mood to do hobbies when you have important things to do, or at inconvenient times of the day, but the minute you're at a loose end, you don't feel like it.

(Might be just me, this one)

People who leave massive gaps in traffic jams - not just your standard car length, but 10-15 car lengths. What the fuck is that about?

I'd agree, but also counter with there being a significant number of wankers who drive in the inside lane approaching a slip road and refuse to move over into the empty outer lane just because they know it will cause the person joining the carriageway to slow down/stop/cause issues. A little bit of cooperation makes the world turn that little bit easier.
Yeh, I can't understand this one.

Is it to feel like they are constantly moving?

I can't find the article now, but one study found that a high percentage of pedestrians killed in road accidents were chewing Wrigley's Spearmint gum.

Conclusion - chewing gum makes you more likely to die in road accidents.
Spurious correlations

For example

Or being too knackered to concentrate.

I often start the day thinking finish work then really crack on to do something. Then have a high concentration day at work and I'm reduced to a dribbling idiot and can't manage anything. As a result I have loads of unfinished stuff.

I mean yeah why not?

I'm doing 80 in the outside lane and have to anticipate someone in the inside lane swerving in front of me doing 50 because they don't know that they have right of way over someone on a slip road
To help traffic join from a slip road, you should plan ahead, then adjust your speed or move to another lane if it's safe to do so. Motorway traffic has priority, but it is courteous and safer for both merging and existing traffic if you can make space, particularly at peak times.

Yes the key point being 'if you can'

Existing traffic has the right of way and if you can't safely create a gap then the traffic on the slip road has to be prepared to stop.

To stop on a slip road could be catastrophic! The main problem is drivers lack of awareness & the notion that lifting your right foot to let someone in is somehow "soft". If you're on the inside lane & it's busy you should already be anticipating vehicles possibly entering via a slip road...

I agree

My annoyance is the people who go from the inside lane to the outside lane to allow people to join from a slip road without checking that it is actually safe to do so

While stopping on a slip road may be catastrophic, those are still the rules of the road. Like other posters have said, if people actually knew the highway code it would be much easier

When driving you should predictable, not polite
Families who walk hand in hand in hand in hand like they're the Swiss Family Robinson or part of some Cult.

Also Couples who insist on walking side by side (often holding hands too) down a path and can't grasp the notion of tucking in when it's busy.

Actually Holding hands in Public, if you're not stopping your kid (or lass) from running away....it's canny odd when you think about it.

Oh...and these influencer types who have someone video them while they walk off wistfully into the distance, often making suggestive glances or pouts back to the camera, pretending to be interested in whatever it is they are wanting to show off.....and having no shame whatsoever!

That was my minor/major annoyance list from a trip away with work last week.
Yep - the couples one especially where it appears that if they leave go of each others hands then the world will end

the issue is with slip road users lack of awareness. shifting the blame onto others is typical me me me attitude.

anyway, back on topic of minor annoyances. people who clart on collapsing pushchairs at the top of stairs blocking others getting past.

Mental how much fuss there is these days over it compared to when I was a kid. Noticed a few people out decorating trees and that in their street before when I was out.
I've never heard the expression before until a few days ago. Now people keep telling me 'spooky season' is here

Park run on Saturday-two women behind me chuntering away about this and that for about 10 minutes. sped up and got away so far as I could no longer here them; however they caufght me up about the 4k mark ad stayed behind all the way to the finish-never came up for air once.
