Just do it properlyWhen was it originally due to open?
Drop the price by £100k for every day it is overdue and they would soon get it finished.
Autumn, think handover date is sometime in October so still on scheduleWhen was it originally due to open?

For some reason people seem to think it should have been open for the start of this season. It isn't overdue
The opening of the bridge has never had anything to do with SAFC .For some reason people seem to think it should have been open for the start of this season.![]()
Not to the revised timeline, but I am pretty sure it should have been fully open before the temporary opening for the Women’s Rugby according to the original plan.It isn't overdue
Programmes on major projects dont just get shifted willy nilly, it will have been for reasons agreed as fair to all. Theyve done a great job getting it builtNot to the revised timeline, but I am pretty sure it should have been fully open before the temporary opening for the Women’s Rugby according to the original plan.
Didn't they have to come up with an innovative way to strengthen support/foundations/something in the beginning, due to the river banks not being strong enough to do conventional works? I seem to remember something like that being said, and that it was more challenging than first thought. If that's the case, they've done a he'll of a job to put it where it is.

Spot on .I seem to recall advice given to me many years ago relating to project management.
The final 10% gives you 90% of the hassle.
I found that to be a fair assessment, getting things finished to specification and signed off was always the hardest part.
RubbishIt does seem like the rate of progress this year has been glacial.
The bridge went up last year, didn’t it?Rubbish
Just because you can't see doesn't mean it's been slow. You don't expect a house to be finished just because the bricks are up and the roof is on.The bridge went up last year, didn’t it?
So this year has been fitting the railings and the decking, doing the electrics and doing the connecting walkways.
I can’t see much difference today to what state it was in one, three or five months ago tbh.
I’m aware of that. That’s why I said ‘seems’ in my original post.Just because you can't see doesn't mean it's been slow. You don't expect a house to be finished just because the bricks are up and the roof is on.
Have you seen the work done inside the bridge ?The bridge went up last year, didn’t it?
