Clarkson’s farm

Burford is nice but as it is on a main route in and out of the Cotswolds it’s very busy with traffic at all times. We last stayed there in January for a couple of nights when it was a bit quieter and there were still quite a number of people doing similar. Strange thing about it is that there aren’t really any takeaway places or places to dine unless you use the pubs and hotels.

My other half lives there, it's a lovely place, but gets a lot better after hours. Takeouts are basically not existent unless you want a hallal pizza or a curry. Eat in wise, the Prince does fantastic food/sunday lunch, and the Carpenters is canny too, even if 15 mins outside of town. I've not tried the Lamb or the Bay tree yet for food, but the lamb is a nice small pub with a good pint. The Angel seems to only do food and seems a tourist trap. The Bull (the place in town) is a right rip off. The mermaid seems to be a health hazard in the making but is a great pub - now temp closed after a fire. Really liking the pheasant since they did it up, simple menu but really nice (so maybe not to often...). Went over to hers at the start of summer and the next doors car only had a bloody SAFC scarf in the window so I'll make an effort to speak to them

Funnily enough we are staying over for a night in November again. Last couple to times we have stayed at the Highway but this time we are staying at the Angel. We are going to try the Royal Oak for food as it looked canny the last time we visited. We’ve stayed at most of the places you mention except the Bull. The Highway and the Bull are now linked together.

We have heard numerous stories now saying the next series will be the last with everyone taking a break. Jeremy has had a couple of health issues and the rumour is this next series could well be the last.

Shame as its top notch telly. With so many stories that could be developed or resolved.

1. Jeremy and Lisa to marry

2. Alan the builder health update

3. Kaleb to buy his own farm

4. Jeremy’s kids get involved in the running of the farm

5. Jeremy stands for Parliament 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
It's been a refreshing series away from cooking/love island type shows. However, I think it's just about run it's course now and one more series would be the right decision.

I find it disturbing that people need to go to a farm shop and pub because it's on the TV.

Why???

Can anyone explain why they go here, because it's on the tele.

Head wobbles.

I agree unless he diversifies a bit and decides to try planting a vineyard or turning some of his land into a solar farm. You can only do the day to day farming bit so much

To see in reality how it compares to the show, and because we regularly visit that area, so it was nice to pop in. When we visited they rocked up to film at the farm shop and they filmed about an hour and all that got shown in the episode was about 10 seconds of that footage. To be fair to Clarkson, his bird and that baldy fella Charlie they were pretty interactive with those visiting that day so fair play to them. Clarkson looked ill mind, which it was later proved with his heart issues

TV isn't reality, so it won't compare. I bet you've been on the coronation street tour and expected to see Betty making some of her hotpot😜

I can explain.
Farm shops sell much better quality produce than super markets.
Most farm shops are not on TV but have a very high footfall.
People want better food hence why they are popular.
I think you answered the wrong part of the question. He means, why THAT farm shop 170 miles away, rather than the 3 that are within 5 miles of your house, just because its Clarkson's.

Charlie Ireland works for Ceres Rural, a farming consultancy firm, where he is a Managing Partner.

He provides farm management and strategic planning advice, including for Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, and is known for his expertise in agriculture and the bureaucracy surrounding farming.

He deals with high net worth clients.

Hardly surprising. I wouldn't trust Clarkson to run a bath.

Famous/wealthy people don’t need to be competent or intelligent they just need to know they need to engage someone who can do their thinking/planning/finances/ PR etc

David Beckham is a case in point. A carefully curated image, he is loved, is very wealthy, and what a bloke.

I like Becks.

And other beers ( yes I know I don’t drink lager - well actually when circumstances dictate I have been known to drink the lager.

Are you saying that wealthy people are thickies?

What do you like about Beckham?

The mad politics forum lefties seem to hate what normal people don't give a toss about. We should all hate wealthy and famous people. Why? "Err, because they're wealthy and I'm not". You shouldn't visit Clarkson's farm unless you live next door to it. Crazy buggers.

The new series of Clarkson’s Farm will air on Amazon on 23 May 2026 in a staggered format similar to the release of series 4.

A while ago Jeremy said series 5 would be the last unless they had a compelling story to tell.

GOOD NEWS!

Series 6 is already under development so we can expect more from the gang in the future

Great news, it's class entertainment.

Harriet should get her own spin off series. I'd watch.
