Entitled to your opinion, I have concerns.

Like I say, I feel he’s been a bit hard done to by us signing two left backs.
Tbf we have signed players adaptable to several positions, and I would still say Cirkin is technically the second choice in that position when fit. It hasn't bothered Trey with the same situation.

Don't be surprised if he's used as a wing back when we occasionally play 5 at the back. My understanding is that he is more attacking than defensive.

I know, but it doesn’t fit with Cirkin. You can’t have two flat back four full backs and then a specialist wing back. Not even City carry that much weight in the squad. Something amiss.
I agree. I guess they either don’t back Cirkin to be fit and ready, or they thought he might be off.

This for me.

Go back watch first half of the season and see what a fit Cirkin can do
That's the issue now, he's struggling to get back to fitness and the wrist injury is more than just a physical thing. All our players have to have the right level of ability, which Cirkin has, but we need players that are dependable & ideally, proven. Reinildo and Masuaku tick more boxes, and it does make sense to sell a 3rd choice LB for a decent figure. Just buy a 20 year old for £2m as back up.

Playing against plodders on the whole

Watch his performances whenever he comes up against a winger with pace. He got exposed 9 times out of 10. Defensively his positioning is poor. He almost cost us promotion bar Patterson pulling him out of the shit. It’s harsh but he just isn’t close to being good enough for the prem.

People are getting on about his injury aswell. Didn’t he only have a bad hand? Not like he was playing with a broken toe

Would love to have the "old" Cirkin back.
Chances are there's something come loose in his head and it's a gamble as to whether or not he can recover.
Just my 2p worth,

Seems a good lad. Brave. Good going forward. IMHO he is too slow off the mark and gets beaten on his outside too easily. Maybe that is down to not being fully fit but its been a feature of his game for a while.

He used to be a very brave player but you can really tell that he's being careful to avoid hurting his wrist again. On his day he's a very good player, but we can't afford the luxury of waiting to see if he'll come good again.

Potential to be a great player in this division if his heads right .

Will the club stick with him and hope he grows as a player and a person or will they look to off load ?

To me he’s a very gifted player and at one point I thought he was the best english left back in the country at one point last season . However I think he falls into the Patto bracket.
... if his heads right. Ditto Bramble. And that's what separates the great from the good, that indefinable, invisible thing that goes on inside a sportsman.
