He used to be a very brave player but you can really tell that he's being careful to avoid hurting his wrist again. On his day he's a very good player, but we can't afford the luxury of waiting to see if he'll come good again.
Don't forget he also got knocked out scoring against Millwall so these tolls will have a bearing on where you put you head. Unless your brainless of course.

His dad passed on before he joined Sunderland 🤔
There was talk at the time that moving here was partly him trying to have a fresh start to help him move on. I don't think spurs wanted to lose him at the time.

Maybe he's struggling again - which is understandable

I have sympathy for the lad if that’s the case but the fact remains the club has to move on, even when he is totally focused on football it is doubtful if he could ever be considered a regular in a top flight team.

Why do we have to get rid if he's not a regular?

If that's the case, lets get rid of Chris Rigg?

We dont have to get rid,he and Neil are strolling to nice free transfers at the end of the season and a healthy signing on fees.

It’s a bit longer than expected,” said head coach Regis Le Bris. “For Dennis, we have to wait a bit. Things didn’t heal properly after his wrist injury, and he has been complaining of his knee as well. He needs to rest a bit.

“We have decided to step back really. We have decided to give him a real period of rest so that he can reset and get ready to reconnect with the squad. That will give him the best chance of getting back to a point where he can perform.”

Knee injury now........

You have to wonder if his problems are more mental .

An okay championship level left back on a good day, nothing more. Would be ambivalent at most if he left. At this point I think his injuries are more a mental thing or he might be just playing the game and running his contract down to leave for free and without risking any kind of injury.

Take whatever money we can get for him in January, he’s just never going to be fit.

Good player but isn’t resilient enough to be playing week in and week out.

Him and Neil won't go anywhere in January. They'll wait till the summer and get a big signing on fee instead of costing a transfer fee.

Might be reading too much into those words from Reggie but the he’s complaining about his knee comment seems like it’s not coming from the medical team.
