there is a objection detailed document showing the second tier as per north standI'm sure from the proposal images that it is only a single tier extension they are planning on building. The alignment of the seats is directly behind the back of the current south stand seats. There is no step to create a second tier. You can also see through the glass that the stairs from the ground level concourse go directly into the seats. It will be nothing like the North Stand extension.
This means that it will be cheaper to construct, but additional concourse level improvements will be minimal, and not really much chance for more corporate facilities (boxes etc...) The SW corner in the extended area could be a good opportunity for another Founders / Quinn's type bar area.
To be fair, the corporate would not be use for concerts (if they are still looking into them) a its behind the stage area. And the demand at the moment would definitely be for more South stand Season Tickets rather than more corporate (that has not fully sold out this season).
The plans definitely show a second tier, you can see the overhang:I'm sure from the proposal images that it is only a single tier extension they are planning on building. No chance, corporate is sold out and in demand, they won't pass the opp to build more corporate spaces.Absolutely should go single stand imo

My assumption is that we have plans as place holders and something bigger will come alongThe plans definitely show a second tier, you can see the overhang:

I noticed that, but the 3D renders do not show that arrangement. The plans definitely show a second tier, you can see the overhang:

Boxes would take out a few rows at the backI asked similar question a while ago and the answer I got was the amount about fans displaced was virtually zero since it's just taking the roof of it and adding the top tier above it.
Which 3D renders?I noticed that, but the 3D renders do not show that arrangement.
This is a good point, I think their hand is being forced by the council. They obviously want more corporate seats as well so they might just go for it and do the east and south at the same time. I would say they had planned to do the east first.I'm sure from the proposal images that it is only a single tier extension they are planning on building. At least you would have more chance getting oneImagine this ticketing system with a stadium size of nearly 70k![]()
And importantly give the club the option of low cost tickets for kids/families for future fan base.At least you would have more chance getting one
It took about 7 months. Work started in the January and it was ready for the start of the next season.Anyone know how long it would take and how many fans seats might be displaced if work overlapped into the season? I tried to find how long it took to extend the North Stand back in the day, but couldn't find it
My memory is bad from that time, was along time ago, but didn't feel like it was long
This is key and I think it's known/been referenced that they need something like the above to get new fans in. A family stand with 30% off a family of 2,3,4 etc would be class. And importantly give the club the option of low cost tickets for kids/families for future fan base.
Id try ringing from now mate.Imagine this ticketing system with a stadium size of nearly 70k![]()

Of course, that was 25 years ago and I think there are more issues now with securing building supplies and workers post-Brexit.
No idea, but I bet it would be at least quadruple and take twice as long!Wonder how much it would cost these days compared to back then
No chance, there is way too many concession tickets as there is.And importantly give the club the option of low cost tickets for kids/families for future fan base.
