Broken striker market

Was discussed on a podcast this week, there was a phase of just training generalists (auxillary forwards) so there are so few

It’s changing again slowly

Yep, it’s why you’re seeing the more traditional no.9’s of the past generations having an Indian summer so to speak. Lewandowski, Giroud etc, even Chris Wood.

It’s because there’s so few about with that skill set and football is adapting. You need someone up there who can get hold of it to beat the press that so many teams employ now.

It’s beautiful. I can’t wait to see the adaptation

I think it’s why we’re favouring Mayenda over Isidor at the minute. They both have the pace in behind, but Mayenda’s learned to back in and at least make an attempt to get us up the pitch at times.

Wilson, as much as I love the bloke, tends to fall over more.

From PSR holding us back to near on £200m on signings in one window.

From Tonali has dislocated his shoulder to him looking likely he can play against Leeds tomorrow.

Absolute fraud of a Saudi club
By the time they sell Isak they will only have spent a fraction of what we have this summer.

Shame big Ross Stewart had the injuries he had, I honestly think he could have been a real handful in the Prem league.

Don’t worry, the magedia will be social media and TV, saying that this is the best deal ever and Newcastle are 10 moves ahead other clubs.
George Caulkin will be like ‘the spiritual successor to Shearer himself with shoulders so broad that only the number 9 can hang from them’
Eddie is up to 10d chess now man. He’s got everyone else to sign all these players they really don’t want deep down and this lad wa their target all along 😂

If it was us signing this fella every fucker would be telling us he’s immense and they’ve watched him since he was playing in his back garden 😂😂😂
He’s a very good player, it’s the fee that’s crazy. Just shows how skewed the market is
