I don’t disagree actually. T20 isn’t what it used to be. I’ve been a season ticket holder for durhams t20 since 2016 and there’s been a noticeable changeAt least they are there. How many kids do you see at county championship games?? 0000000.00.
In fact does anybody under 60 thinking of it.
Yes t20 is boring now. 12 overs and hour etc etc.
When it first started it was great 5 quid and 16 overs and hour minimum.
Now it's just slower over rate than yesterday matches.
Simple why it's killed itself.
Needs to happen for next summer if possibleThat’s progress, I think.
Needs to happen for next summer if possible
Hopefully and with it bring better players.I think it will.
That can only happen if Indian players are involved which requires BCCI approval. It'll then become profitable because of tv revenue. The worry is at what cost to England's tv revenue and England cricketHopefully and with it bring better players.
A T20 tournament will be more relatable to cricket fans and the investors will want to bring better standard of player and mirror the tournament of others.
I think they aim will be to make it a IPL2 tournament and make it the best T20 tournament outside the IPL itself
think there will be a massive shake up next year, can see them removing the Centrally contracted players around too, or just getting rid of that altogether, i mean bairstow and Root not playing for Superchargers was always odd.
Now i know im in a bit of a minority on here as a fan of the Comp, i get it needs some tweeks, but they need to be careful as to not change it too much too
"The Hundred board is comprised of four representatives from the ECB and one each from the eight host venues and new investors, giving the franchises the balance of power."IPL 2 is coming

Problem they have is they created sides like the Welsh one that have very little local talent or the crowds, so they will need propping up.If they are going to give it any identity whatsoever, players like Root and Brook need to play for the team based at Headingley, Pope, Overton, Atkinson at the Oval and so on.
Or better still, they could just scrap it.
exactly, Superchargers could have potentially made a team of,Problem they have is they created sides like the Welsh one that have very little local talent or the crowds, so they will need propping up.
And this is what every genuine cricket fan was worried about. The concern/debate now should be about the calendar, accepting the hundred and whatever it’s name is going forward will have its window, while at the same time working out the calendar the best way for all concerned.
If they did teams having the ability to pick all their local players then the final would likely be the Leeds and Surrey teams every year.exactly, Superchargers could have potentially made a team of,
Root
Bairstow
Malan
Brook
McKinney
Clark
Stokes
Potts
Carse
Rashid
Sowter
Wood
then inlcude others who have played before like Raine,Ollie Robinson, Beddingham, Parkinson, Lyth, its some line up that,
",They",of course, being "investors" who invest to accumulate with English cricket having no control. It’s just going to get bigger, better players, better quality, more exposure.
They clearly going to try and make it second best short format tournament in the world.
It’s pointless having debates/discussions etc about what should have happened, it should be scrapped etc etc.
The bottom line is very rich people have put a enormous amount of money into it so only going to get bigger.
The concern/debate now should be about the calendar, accepting the hundred and whatever it’s name is going forward will have its window, while at the same time working out the calendar the best way for all concerned.
They should have looked at Cardiff/Glamorgan/Wales beforehand instead of creating a team in one cricket’s least supported areas.Problem they have is they created sides like the Welsh one that have very little local talent or the crowds, so they will need propping up.
Yeah the debate should be about how international cricket remains relevant and the most important game. And this is what every genuine cricket fan was worried about.
Many have said from the start that once this got into private hands, this will end up being the most important tournament due to the money involved. The CC and Blast being reduced (which has started already) and cut to the point where each team might only play half a dozen games per season in each tournament. Top players in the CC and Blast being awarded contracts so that they can no longer play for their counties. International games sent to the margins and/or reduced altogether.
We saw it coming and now there is little we can do about it.
