SOL expansion

It’s odd that the Sheepfolds development could potentially prevent any expansion of the SOL. The vast majority of people who go to the Sheepfolds are Sunderland supporters. The reason the Sheepfolds is becoming popular is its proximity to the SOL. This is deffo a case of the tail wagging the dog, absolutely nuts.

After reading Bob Murray's book, I posted "South Stand Extention" last year but was laughed at....There's clearly plans to do it at some point, and here we can see the images. Looks fantastic

Bad idea to expand, you couldn't give tickets away from new year on last season. All of a sudden were in the Premier league, but these new supporters will disappear as soon as we're relegated and the ground will look desolate again.

The stadium of light has only been fully soldout 10 times since it opened in 1997.

10 times in 28 years.

This expansion talk is nonsense.
You seem mentally ill, spending so much time pretending to be someone, coming on here and saying weird stuff.
Seek help

Btw we had a sell out in league f***ing one , v Bradford. 46000+
That's how big we are

The clubs objection is available on this site

If you go to documents and scroll to 13/08 it’s labelled SAFC objection. 255 pages long and includes the extension plans for Roker End.
Probably not something the club wanted public yet but they’ve been left with no choice
Anyone fancy reading all 255 pages and extracting the salient points?

Thanks for that mate.

Just an observation but that looks like the club aren't planning to extend the internal facilities all the way around further than the swc. Don't know what I was expecting mind, something like traps nightclub from the greyhounds mirroring the black cats bar.
Also looks like it is single tier if you look at where the visible tiers start around about the back row of the existing seats.

Why do you keep posting this incorrect stat and where did you get it from?

If you’re a Leeds fan, Elland Road wasn’t fully sold out against Everton. Capacity is 37,645. Attendance was 36,820.

If you’re a NCL fan, you’ve played 105 games (18 in the Premier League) since 2000 with a lower attendance than the 46,039 we had against Bradford City in League One.

Sure, mate.
Looking at the pictures, you can see through the facade to the steelwork under the newly built elevated tier. So the deck doesn't appear to continue all the way round the south stand from the black cats bar, Montgomery suite etc.

"The new extended South Stand will have fully glazed upper decks and will
include a function suite for leisure, business and community use."

The windows of the apartments will
be directly overlooked from above by the users of the proposed function suite and because of the proximity of the extended South Stand, and its height and bulk, overshadowing and loss of sunlight will be major issues.
