SOL expansion

I am now 70, and I would love to see the ground finished off in my lifetime.
Don't get me wrong it is still currently a decent stadium (although starting to look a little date compared with some of the newer efforts), but it still looks only half a stadium with the east and roker ends not having an upper tier. Adding to the Roker end will be a good start and on the current feel good factor we could just about sell it out.

The stadium of light has only been fully soldout 10 times since it opened in 1997.

10 times in 28 years.

This expansion talk is nonsense.
First three home games back have all sold out. That’s 8 years out the Premier League and selling out. Now imagine if we actually had a good season in the Premier League what the demand would be like. Think about that from a revenue point of view. It’s so short term to just write it off

Check out crowds when we were last in the prem getting pumped off the likes of Wigan.

36k to 39k.

42k is perfect capacity.

A few losses and adrift in relegation zone and we will be back down to 40k.
Tbf you still kept just above 40k in the prem during the Ashley years, but that’s when he panicked and give the 10k free season tickets , you dropped to 36k in the championship 2010 until you started winning some games and were getting as low as 15k in the fa cup
