One bad result

Imagine doing your job. Imagine it now. Now imagine a huge crowd of people shouting abuse or criticism at you.

How do you feel?

Now imagine all those people shouting encouragement.

It’s simple. If we get behind the lads and the manager they will perform without negative pressure. They will be free to play.

And win.

After one good result some folk on here were predicting mayenda was great and a top ten finish was on the cards now after one bad result Mayenda is shyte and its all doom and gloom and were getting relegated ..please lets wait till after ten games before contemplating applying for yer passport for next year or getting the feathers and pitch out of the attic...
its going to be a long hard season and we have a decent enough side that needs time to gel and we as fans need to stop the bipolar stuff ,just chill and support the lads as they are going to need it and it will be our home form that keeps us up that's for sure! If the worst happens and we get relegated our club will still be in a far far better state to come back up stronger!...Were getting better and better as a club on and off the pitch despite short term results and the fans need to both recognise that and support us through the difficult times!
Mayenda went from Barcelona bound to not good enough at this level. 😂😂😂😂😂
Some people need to grow up!

The team, recruitment etc isn’t a disgrace or pathetic. That was a really really poor performance though. Slow, created next to fuck all and fluffed the chances we did create.

Striker is a real issue for me. Mayenda just wasn’t in the game save for the sitter he missed. CB too, Seelt is a bomb scare.
I reckon home form is going to be the make or break for the season.

It's going to be a long hard season,we will get walloped some weeks, one thing that should be the consistent thing is our support,we all need to sing our hearts out for the lads ,could be the major thing that keeps us up support our team to the hilt,Haway the f***ing lads .

They’ve probably got a better chance than us.

They’re better defensively which will make all the difference in this league
I think i was the only one on here predicting before a ball was kicked that Burnley would stay up....they will bore their way to survival!Yesterdays game in truth was an awful game to watch if you were a neutral and thats how Burnley like it!

TBH Burnley are such a shyte entity that even the grammar and spell checker on here doesnt recognise that it needs to be capitalised and suggests its "burnable" rather apropos me thinks! ;)

Finishing 4th bottom should be the catalyst for street parties, around 37 points should do it, that is another 34 points, 10 wins, 4 draws, so losing 22 games. Who are the teams likely to be down there, Brentford picked up a decent win, WHU look shambolic and Potter will be gone soon, all depends who they bring in, one defeat and some posters are queuing up to jump off the cliff, it will be an enormously tough season but after 2 games using negative hyperbole is over the top, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Not sure why anyone is surprised about yesterday. We generally struggle against Burnley and teams that play similar style.

Shame Mayenda didn't convert early on as you're looking at a different game. When they are chasing they will leave gaps - which suits us. This was probably Reggie's game plan but we didn't get the rub. 🤷

I take no stock in the result. We will have worse days and we will have better.

Move on.

Same as usual on here, some are absolutely f***ing delighted we got beat yesterday…f***ing grow up man

Hang on. What part was I delighted with seeing as I went to great pains to explain how devastated I was. But then again I’m guessing you conveniently overlooked that post. After all why let certain posts get in the way of a good slagging off. It’s a funny way of showing delight in a defeat if you ask me.

‘Disgrace’ ‘Pathetic’ etc etc. What happened to backing the lads through a tough season? That out the window already?
This board is not representative of true Sunderland support. There is a large number of bipolar people on here who would no more consider going to the match then jumping into a fire.
Yes and its one game and the Premier League. We need to back the lads, not go knock kneed at the first signs of adversity.
Correct
You can fully back the lads while acknowledging that was pathetic like, not sure why support and reality have to be mutually exclusive
Supporting means not turning on the Lads at the first turn of adversity.
How do you know they're the leagues worst ?
They conceded 16 goals the whole of last season
Went one nil up and closed shop and we had no idea how to break them down
They could easily do that to a few teams this season. No one knows who the worst team is yet
I do. It's West Ham.

Used to be 3 games before we were at crisis stage, seems it’s down to 1 now. Unbelievable
I am not thinking for one minute we are in a crisis as I am really excited and positive about this season but having said that the thoughts of the negative ones on this site argue this could have been our easiest challenge away from home. I argue you have to go to places during the season and get results even if it’s Liverpool we need to get a result or two against the top clubs. A draw counts as a result along with a win if you want to stay up.
