One bad result

Because one of the unfortunate characteristics of modern day society is a huge lack of perspective.
You see it in every facet of the modern day no more than on here.
Spot on this unfortunately. Whether it’s down to social media or something else, football fans are a spoiled, entitled bunch of fannies nowadays with bipolar characteristics. We aren’t the only fanbase either, it’s widespread. And it’s embarrassing.

‘Disgrace’ ‘Pathetic’ etc etc. What happened to backing the lads through a tough season? That out the window already?

Saying “it was one bad result” is like saying the iceberg that hit the RMS Titanic was just a prang.
Unbelievable! It's like people actually think it should be a formality to win away games in the Prem.

We aren’t saying that at all. All the pre season hype saw us build up the new team to be one now capable of playing well in the Premier League and staying up. This team that everyone build up to be better didn’t happen yesterday.

It will take some time for all these new players to gel and work out what each player is doing positionally and making runs etc. We are a work in progress and we need them to gel as quickly as possible. If my memory serves me correct Forest had a shite start the season they bought loads of new players in, and then came on the 2nd half of the season. I may be totally wrong on that but that's my vague recollection . We move on to the next game with a lesson learnt.

Comparing an away defeat to Burnley to the Titanic sinking FFS

What was the pre season hype? As we didn't have great pre season results and I can't remember everyone hyping us up before the West Ham result...........Do you know what......GOODBYE!

The second sentence means , do you think Burnley shouldn't win a game all season?
Is that reasonable to think that ?
We are a bottom half prem team, playing away, against a team that spent similar to us and brought in free transfers like walker and the ex mag keeper on big wages
A team that were by far better than us last season
We arent Liverpool

No of course not, why would I think that? I also think its reasonable for whoever gets beat by them to think they should have done better and be disappointed.

We've already covered spend.

Wouldn't matter if they'd had a brick wall playing in goal, we still wouldn't have tested it.

Not sure how last season is relevant with an entirely new contextually expensive created team.

We aren't Liverpool? Well that changes everything then, we definitely weren't shit yesterday.

So where are the 40 points needed coming from if thats your attitude to facing Burnley?
Might not get them. Won't be a disgrace if we don't. We all know it's going to be difficult right ?
And btw you'll need a lot less than 40.
But I'd think most of our points will be at home , against teams that don't go one up and then defend all match.
And maybe our team need to gel more.
I'm certainly not going to panic and slate the team and call them a disgrace as we have lost an away match in the prem.

Imagine being Man City today. Looking unstoppable then looking comical.
It’s two games in and people are shitting the bed.
We will have worse days than today but no doubt a lot better too.
It’s going to be a long season and today hopefully brought a few fans expectations back down to earth !
Pretty much everyone bar Liverpool and spurs have had a good game then a bad game. That’s the league and most teams are still bedding in players. The one big thing it showed though was Dan Ballard as much as we all love him he is injury prone and we can’t rely on him as a main starter as no doubt he will comeback play some games and be out again it’s the pattern of his time here.

Yeah, and we already knew these things, even Xhaka said there will be bad games and defeats. Not the time to attack players for missing a chance or making a defensive error, I see some are writting off players completely after a mistake.
Also the club is pushing for Lucumi and a RW, they knew we can't rely on Ballard a whole season and that we need competition for Talbi and Adingra.
I hope people won't overreact like this at every defeat, cause we'll lose a few games this season FFS!😂

We're going to have ups and plenty downs this season. Yes, we need to look at what went wrong and try make sure it doesnt happen again or too often, but can't just hang them all out too dry either. 17th always the aim and foolish and naive to look ahead of that.

After one good result some folk on here were predicting mayenda was great and a top ten finish was on the cards now after one bad result Mayenda is shyte and its all doom and gloom and were getting relegated ..please lets wait till after ten games before contemplating applying for yer passport for next year or getting the feathers and pitch out of the attic...
its going to be a long hard season and we have a decent enough side that needs time to gel and we as fans need to stop the bipolar stuff ,just chill and support the lads as they are going to need it and it will be our home form that keeps us up that's for sure! If the worst happens and we get relegated our club will still be in a far far better state to come back up stronger!...Were getting better and better as a club on and off the pitch despite short term results and the fans need to both recognise that and support us through the difficult times!
