***Burnley FC v Sunderland AFC Premier League Kick Off 3pm Match Thread***

Don't think anyone does, lad has had to fill and will be out the team
Or perhaps it's because we only have one fit LW but about 6 central midfielders
Like I said to another lad, read the Lucumi thread where people are saying we don’t need Lucumi and Seelt is capable of filling in.

Subs were very poor. Both wingers off (to have Le Fee play wide ffs) and Isidor on against a team who are just going to sit deep? Unsurprisingly he touched the ball maybe twice in 25 mins.

Lucumi and a winger/versatile forward are pretty vital signings I think. I've accepted the club think Isidor/Mayenda/Guiu are enough even if I don't agree.

We improved after they went off like

Centre mid is the issue for me, don’t see goals thetr and the striker is too isolated

We need a central striker in for me mate.

Very disappointing. Typical Sunderland mind, talk about after The Lord Mayors Show.

Play that way and we’re going straight back where we came from.

We’re probably the only premier league side to lose at Burnley this season.

As encouraging and positive as last week was that was depressing and hugely worrying.

If we were looking at the first few games on paper as fixtures which could see us win a good few points - that’s the easiest one well and truly blown.
You think Burnley won’t win another home game this season?

We had the players. This sit and absorb tactic fails when the opponents breach and score

We had the players for what? Ball didn't stick up front, quality in the final third just wasn't good enough today. We had no open spaces to run into and exploit.

We had more of the ball than Burnley first half, they showed no intent going forward and we struggled to break them down often enough - it's certainly worked for them.

Why are negative comments about TODAYS performance and about how players played TODAY a issue with so many.

So what if someone says Xhaka was poor today etc. He was. He'll know that.

Nobody is saying we aren't absolutely buzzing to still have him and he will be a massive assest this season.

I'd be more worried if everyone was saying we were absolutely brilliant today and just a little bit unlucky 😂

We'll win some we'll lose some and we'll play better against better teams than Burnley who come at us. I can't stand their anti football, time wasting shite. Hope we relegate them on goal difference by 1 goal.

Reality kicks in now, last week was great this week - probably as bad as we`l play all season certainly 2nd half, We need a threat in the box
