***Burnley FC v Sunderland AFC Premier League Kick Off 3pm Match Thread***

The thing is with Seelt, whilst he has potential. The lad wasn't a first teamer in the Championship, now all of a sudden he's been thrust into the PL. He's certainly not the problem, but we need better. Hopefully we get the lad in from Bologna and push the boat out for Fasawu. It's early days but that is a poor result today against a side we really should not be losing to if we expect to stay in the league.

Yep...hence why I'm saying we need to bring creativity in, said it after preseason season games. We need creativity in the final third. Don't think Le Bris subs helped at all. I would have kept Talbi on for his pace for example.
Also, this is why Mayenda cant keep missing these sitters like today and pre season, we haven't the luxury of our main striker doing that in our position. We need a striker in.
Agree with all of it. Peope will write off today as a bad day but there was major warning signs

We looked pretty decent in the first half but were poor in the second.
Ballard was a big miss.
All in all, very disappointing.
We should be looking to get Le Fee and Isidor in the team next game IMO - drop Mayenda and Adingra.

Subs were very poor. Both wingers off (to have Le Fee play wide ffs) and Isidor on against a team who are just going to sit deep? Unsurprisingly he touched the ball maybe twice in 25 mins.

Lucumi and a winger/versatile forward are pretty vital signings I think. I've accepted the club think Isidor/Mayenda/Guiu are enough even if I don't agree.

I think we can be disappointed. last week gave us a great foundation and ultimately we’ve been pretty poor especially in second half never looked like breaking them down after conceding

And then that was a mess tactically by the end
Fair enough but we have to accept we are in the premier league and it’s not going to be easy. It’s early days with a new squad. We will have off days. As will every team including the top teams.
