just been playing college football in the USIsn’t that a Sunday league side? If he’s home from America I’m surprised he hasn’t signed for someone on a Saturday. Just seen Wearside league. Christ what’s he doing down there
Ethan Robson has joined Spennymoor on a season long loan
He was one of the only bright spots of the championship relegation season. That’s a mental fall, he looked good for us in league 1 ffs
Josh Robson ex Sunderland as well, I believe? You must be logged on to see media items
Chung on the bench for Morpeth
Yeah, Will Dowling was in our youth team as well a few years backJosh Robson ex Sunderland as well, I believe?
Makes you appreciate how Honeyman has stayed in and around the same divisions for nearly a decade. Its sink or swim in lower leagues, a new batch of academy players coming through every season who haven't be through the mill as much, big clubs looking to dump loan players. Its like snakes and ladders, a bad injury, not looking after yourself or a wrong move and you drop down. Look at Embo ffs. Players like Honeyman & Waghorn managed to stay relevant for their primes is an achievement in itselfThat’s a mental fall, he looked good for us in league 1 ffs
Such small margins. Maybe the key is avoiding injuries. Both Robson and Embleton have had more than their fair share of injuries which have maybe taken a toll on their continued development.Makes you appreciate how Honeyman has stayed in and around the same divisions for nearly a decade. It pretty much stops your development dead in its tracks and your entire career becomes about rehabilitation. Its a tough, unforgiving career. Joe Pigott finished up 3rd top scorer in league 1 behind Charlie Wyke in 2021 with 20 goals, a couple of bad moves and possibly injuries and hes at Folkestone Invicta. Hes only 31, if you're not going forward you're going backwards. Brutal reallySuch small margins. Maybe the key is avoiding injuries. Joining Ballers League Waghorn iirc. Canny money for a bit of a kick around.Makes you appreciate how Honeyman has stayed in and around the same divisions for nearly a decade. Can often come down to mentality and application aswell. I’m guessing, by his footballing style, that Honeyman has a pretty good hard-working mentality which can often make up for any deficiencies in ability. Robson and Embleton are the complete opposite!Makes you appreciate how Honeyman has stayed in and around the same divisions for nearly a decade. Honeyman has improved year on year. He always looked better against us than vs us. I remember seeing Neil, Patto & Diamond doing PT sessions around 3 years ago and the improvements were obvious. Its small margins, who knows whether the likes of Robson had that in him.Can often come down to mentality and application aswell. Was listening to an interview with Grant McCann after Donny's thumping yesterday and he said exactly this.Makes you appreciate how Honeyman has stayed in and around the same divisions for nearly a decade. He’s not! Just a continuation of last season really, couple of games, does nothing, injured, out for a couple of months, struggles to get back in, plays another couple, rinse and repeat. Same with Jordan Jones. 3.5 year deal and 3 year deals respectively, both on around £5-6k a week - both have to be amongst the club’s worst ever signings. How's Embo doing at Carlisle this season?
