One for he best CBs in seria A over the last 3 seasons. Kinda player I was expecting to go to Inter and look like their best signing.

Very much left sided CB but could also play left back. Very decent with the ball at his feet, very athletic so can play a high line without trouble but defensive colossus is how I’d best describe him. Like a grade A Dan Ballard.

Someone said at the start of the summer that the aim was to be “nowhere near” relegation.

Seems the plan has been to forget about whether our promotion squad is good enough to stay up, and jump to targeting new players good enough to be in the 8-14th group in the PL in every single position. Then we have competition and back up in every position - if a new player doesn’t take quickly to the PL, we have our existing player in hand who might. And if you fall a bit short of your aim, you still could have enough to avoid the relegation trap.

Pretty impressive ambition TBH.
