I don’t think he’ll be ready to play this weekend (certainly not start) but on a wider point if the club don’t sign another striker this window it’s a lot of pressure on our existing forwards to score enough to keep us competitive.
Guiu arrives with a good reputation and according to Speakman he had offers aplenty before agreeing to come here (Burstow had a similar fanfare

) but the fact we were happy to agree as part of his deal that he’s given certain assurances re playing time is a little disconcerting to me.
I hope he’s a roaring success and we’re all cursing no obligation to buy in the loan but I’d be far happier if by 1st September we’ve added an older more experienced forward to help the three lads out up top.
