Callum Doyle

No axe to grind at all mate. He shouldn’t have been playing for us at 17 and we improved immeasurably when he stopped playing regularly (along with that German in goals).

Don’t dislike him in the slightest. Not sure he’ll ever be more than a decent champ player. And tbh his form/clubs he’s played for kinda demonstrate that
Still plenty of time to improve. He's played quite a bit of football for someone who is still young.

He's just a better player. Love Hjelde for his character but let's be honest he's pretty poor. Doyle has had 3 seasons at Championship level and more than held his own.

He's had games but I'm not sure he's 'more than held his own'. He's done OK, but not enough for a PL club to want a loan or give him games. He's a better technicial player than Hjelde but I've not seen enough of Hjelde at centre back, possibly because he's not good enough either.

At Leicester everytime I saw him he was left back or left in a three. According to the stats I've found 16 games at left back last season 22 at centre back. No idea how many of those 22 were in a three though.

He's simply not a good defender for me, but has a good left foot.

He's played 98 times in the champship over the last 3 seasons for 3 sides. The lowest any of those sides have finished is 13th. He's certainly doing something right to be playing so many games.
He's definitely held his own

Yes…get a grip if you think what he has done so far indicates a mediocre career ahead
Fair enough mate -not sure that Norwich’s left back has ever draw more debate on here! But I think that’s my point really.

Let’s hope he has a great career - and that our young talents grow to be better than him - seelt, traintis etc

He hasn't got the pace required for the Championship let alone the Premier League. Shame, as technically he is good enough for the Premier League but he got ripped to shreds defensively when playing for Norwich pace-wise.
