Callum Doyle

Ballard is quicker and stronger than Doyle by some margin in each category.

It's not just about pace, it's the fact he's absolutely useless defensively and cares more about having the ball at his feet playing out. It was evident from the moment he arrived here and people were talking about him as if he was Bobby Moore. He actually put more effort into running with the ball than he did trying to get back towards his own goal.
He was just a kid when he was here and was mostly OK. More than good enough for the league we were in at that age.

Dear me....getting ridiculous for PSR surely. Can they just pump money in from Hollywood?
Their revenue in league one was way bigger than a lot of championship clubs. Turns out being owned by a huge global star gets a lot of attention and exposure so along comes the sponsorship, documentaries etc and you get a virtuous circle with the money pouring in. Then you give it Phil Parkinson to spend.....

Going to Wrexham for £8m
They aren't going up with him in the back 3 or 4, Man City have had there pants down

It does I didn't realise they were sponsored by United Airlines

I don't think they're spending their money particularly wisely.

To think our side that went up last season was between £10-15m and they've already spent more than that just seems ridiculous for a club of their size.

Also why are they on tv all the time all of a sudden? Who's bothered about watching Wrexham, documentary aside.

Always remember he was destined to play for England whilst with us.

Hardest shift he's ever had with SAFC, poor lad was ran into the ground, played far too many games without a break.
Give him his due though he stayed fit.

Had a quick look, the rules Leagues One and Two pretty much just cover wages to turnover, doesn't include transfers if you can prove you can meet your commitments.

The Championship apparently has a rule of around £40m over three seasons, but both Wrexham and Birmingham seem to be able to point to the amount of commercial income they have.

Unsustainable unless they stay on an upwards trajectory. If they end up spending season after season stuck in the Championship the interest will wane and they'll be stuck with expensive players on big contracts.

It's for the global audience. They will get their version of the Sky Sports feed.

We've done the same with Jobe and to a lesser extent Rigg, it's good for them. Or will leave them with no knees by 26.

So basically Wrexham are putting no thought into this at all and if they do eventually come up will have to do it with the likes of Doyle, Dobson and Moore?

It's a bit harsh on Doyle lumping him in with Dobson and Moore. Actually, it's a bit harsh on Moore, lumping him in with Dobson.

TBF I thought that was always our plan , to have a squad who could make the step up to the prem
Then we go out and buy a brand new 11 more or less.
