One listen in and the record by The New Eves is tremendous
The Guardian described them as VU mixed with the movie Midsommar. It's up there for this year. They're like a mix of King of the Slums, The Fall, Steeleye Span and Rainbow (the TV show).
I see that they're supporting Black Country New Road at the Glasshouse next month. One listen in and the record by The New Eves is tremendous

For Those I Love has a new album out tomorrow. His first one was my album of the year for that particular year and I have high hopes for this one.
Panda Bear has been my favourite so far although I’ve been loving the new Hayley Williams solo album this week as well (not released as an album but 17 individual songsOff on the sick for the next four weeks cos I've just had surgery at the start of the week to put my hip put together at my big old age of 32been slacking this year with new music, think I've only ticked off about 25-30 albums and most of them are Hip Hop (hip haha lol etc) and R&B.
What's been people's favourite albums so far this year? Think I've missed quite a lot. A few good guitar albums wouldn't got amiss.

In order of recommendation:
Frog - lofi guitar rock, consistently excellent at what they do
BCNR - they've nailed it
Jasmine.4.t - up there with one of the best debuts in a long while. Heartwarming, sad, nice
Caroline - posho art school soft lads twiddle about and create something amazing, featuring Caroline Polachek (yes really)
Friendship - baritone, great, melodic
Saul Adamczewski - nutcase from Fat White Family doing weirdo folk/spoken word with another nutcase
Dutch Interior - again a bit lofi with hooks
Heartworms - another Dan Carey record, it's good
Lily Seabird - folky lovely
Beirut - presumably you'll know them but yeah, it's lovely, really laid back
Alex G - you'll know him anyway but the first half is really good, second is worth turning off
Decius - acid house and better than the debut
Begging Dog - someone from Choir Boy doing sorta half arsed lofi tunes
Barry Can Swim - enjoyable but very mainstream
Colin Miller - solid lo-fi Elliot Smith sorta vibe
