Harry Maguire (possible transfer rumour?)

Skippy was. 🙂
Nee chance, George. Mind, he had a better baccy pouch, I'll give him that. He also had a good line in tutting....
Only reason I even remembered anything is because totally out of the blue the other day I started singing it in the car 🤣
These things happen. Childhood reversion. Have ye started (or stopped) wearing nappies yit?

For one of them I would love a ‘Xhaka type’ come in at CB, but racking my brains as to who is in this mold.
Clutching at straws but how about Dunne at QPR? Was a big clumsy bugger with us but he's developed into a decent CB who gets a few goals. If we're talking like off the scale psycho CB, then definitely Rudiger who I believe has just been released. Actually that's a decent shout.

If Kyril has connections with Swiss players, the one that springs to mind for me is Nico Elvedi from Borussia Monchengladbach. 28 year old, shit tons of experience in Bundesliga and internationals.

Berat Djimisti from Atlanta is the one.

Proper proper defender.

Albanian captain. Swiss - Albanian like Xhaka.

Looks an absolute stalwart for Atalanta. Exactly this type!

Looks very solid in the Bundesliga.

I really do not know how you know this about McGuire and OShea.
By consuming all things football, I'm reading articles, social media, listen to podcasts, speaking to my contacts from the amateur scouting community, my finger is on the pulse, I consume info like a hoover consumes filth.

It's common knowledge O'Shea ran our dressing room and influenced the rest of the team and had Margaret Byrne's ear and that successive managers had problems with him. His stint here almost exactly coincided with Byrne's stint, one she left, he wasn't long after.

Plenty of info out there Maguire does the same. Just Google terms like Maguire dressing room/training ground problems/power struggle/undermine. The story is he resists change when new managers come in and try to sort out their toxic and dysfunctional system.

Influential and senior players like O'Shea and Maguire who've been around years, often have more power than the new manager, if they resist change they can get the younger players to do so. This is why Ten hag went to war with Maguire and removed his captaincy in a power struggle not seen since Cromwell Vs King Charles.

Look how many managers we had and Man Utd have had, yet it was/is the same problems each season, you just need to look at the only constants to see the cause of that, senior players who run the show. I predict when Maguire leaves, the storm clouds over Old Trafford will part.

i think he's had his better days when he's paired with someone decent around him. He's had some absolute horrors of last plus a non existent cover in midfield ahead of him. For England he's always been solid. A change of scenery and a different kind of pressure could be good for him as well.
