Harry Maguire (possible transfer rumour?)

Out of possession, I can't see us changing much from the narrow, low, block that we spent 6 months practicing, last season. The low block might be more dynamic (due to the attributes of the players we've signed), but, I think it'll remain our preferred defensive set-up. There'll still be opportunities to press high, but, adding Guiu isn't going to change the default of a narrow, low, block, for my money.
I think that Guiu might end up being used as a 'Plan B' option when we're chasing a game, rather than as our starting CF.
I think the low block was specifically for the champo and the players we had. IMO like, just think RLB is a proper studier of the game so we’ll see something else this season.

Have we the defenders to play anything other than a narrow, low, block? I'm not so sure that we have. Whilst the midfield appears to be (much) more dynamic, is it sufficiently so to facilitate being able to pressurise the oppo to the extent that they are unable to get balls in behind our back line on a regular basis? Again, I'm not so sure.

All that said, what I am much more sure about is that RLB and his footballing illuminati / cabal / coven are conspiring to obtain optimal outcomes and I bow to whatever the hell those chaps come up with.

Not at the minute but there’s no chance on earth that we’re starting the season as is in defence.

At the moment, Our back four for Wet Spam is: Hume, Ballard, Seelt, Reinildo. There's a fairly good chance that it will still be this, come match day. On this basis, the options are low, narrow, block; surrender; or play a high line and potentially get a twatting.

He's on too much £££ and i can run faster than him and i'm a 54 year old knacker
He's be our best central defender by a country mile

If we got a draw I'd be chuffed

He turned down west ham a couple of windows ago, even tho man Utd practically told him they didn't want him anymore, as they only offered him £125k a week and he was on £175k at man Utd.
