Correct which is why England/ECB should have known and flogged him. It was clear to everyone he was hobbling in the third test. To play him in the fourth test was ridiculous and has proven to be a bad decision as he's now injured. They 100% deserve criticism for the way they have managed him

They could have rested him in that game played him in the 5th and if he got injured then you would still blame them

Is it too much to hope that he’s back fit for the relegation battle? Three pivotal games to save our future before and also to keep his hand in prior to the Ashes…

That would be nice but I'm not sure the ECB would let him. They don't seem to care about players having played any cricket before playing in a test match.

True but England have fixtures every month from September in some format through until the Ashes.Plenty of opportunity for any players to be rehabilitated. England players being bribed to play in the Hundred shows exactly where ECB priorities lie.

I think me and you have more chance of turning out for Durham in September.
