Brydon Carse

Any of us Durham fans could have told them what they were getting with Brydon, which is a player who will throw down a load of loose deliveries followed by a snorter, rearing up off a length. A bit like Mitchell Johnson, it's that unpredictability that makes him difficult to play.

However, he's an impact bowler, and for some reason Stokes wants him opening the bowling.

TBH I am amazed at the fitness he's found for England as he was constantly crocked for us.

Think that's more a condemnation of the Aussie batsman.

He bowled absolute chod for most of the series.
I think they all have been poor pretty much (especially first 2 games), tongue probably been the pick since he came in and archer 3rd test (and occasionally in first two)

Is he honestly a good Test Match bowler?

I don’t think so.
Probably won a few quid on runs conceded per over so he don't care. Ooops sorry....must be forgiven and of course has never had a bet on cricket games he is involved in, since of course.

No coincidence that his best spells for England have come when he's been used as an impact bowler.

Congratulation,Mr Perfect. That comment is so typically inane.
Carse made an error of judgement when he was quite young; most of us will look back and have regrets at errors of judgement particularly as we look back at this time of year. You're incredibly boring and repetitive and not the least bit amusing. Time for New Year resolution perhaps.

The best solution is to just not reply to the troll.

He’s being misused. He is not a new ball bowler and it’s totally mystifying why Stokes is stubbornly refusing to see it.

Stokes has had a shocking tour.
Stokes is a good lad.

100% Agree about Carse, but what a lionheart man
Yeah may be an unpopular opinion, but I like him. He’s erratic, but bowls good pace and gives his all. Handy batsman too. As others have said, never a new ball bowler.

Stokes has completely mismanaged him.
he's done what has been asked and still grafted his arse off , not a natural new ball bowler but did it and gave it his best. him and Tongue are the bowling shining lights
