Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour

You know Josh Sargent was going to move the other week for £21m.

What prolific striker in Europe is going to come for less than €30m? And to a newly promoted side too?

It would still be a gamble going to belgium and paying 25m fee for Franjo Ivanovic (who has moved now) than loaning guiu

Could still go back there for Tolu Arokodare and 1/2 others that would fit what we're looking for I reckon

I don't think Wilson will be away like.

I didn't say the striker had to be prolific, just some seasons scoring regularly in one of the top leagues would be less of a gamble.

Xhaka has turned up here, Diarra for over 30m with higher clubs interested, along with some of the other lads. There's clear cases of us being able to get players in and not just settle.

I hope these lads do well, but Mayenda has looked well off it in pre season, Wilson isn't even fit, and Guiu doesn't look to have had much of a Pre-season and will no doubt need time to adjust.

Do you really think a more senior striker with a record of goals would not be of benefit?

He’s an experienced premier league forward something we don’t have
Has experience of playing a lone forward role
As one of four options it’s good option
IMO
Ancelotti rated him a lot suppose he’s clueless as well

No. Ancelotti is the only one thats ever got him to be any good. He was crap before him and crap since him

Of course it would but logistically I can’t see it happening because of the fees involved and the strikers already at the club competing for one spot

Not really. You need a squad, just like any other team. Most of last seasons players are now seen as squad players, I don't see why the club would see the likes of Mayneda or Wilson as any different when they were swapped and changed last season.

The squad has been upgraded in most areas. The striker department shouldn't be no different and I'm sure we'll still be looking at what's available.

is this basically an all eggs in one basket scenario

i fully expected a CB here we go for someone we'd never heard of like the keeper before the weekend but the clock is ticking for anyone to play in the last friendly

You also have to keep players happy, and squad management is very important. If we bring in a striker right now, that knocks Isidor to fourth choice, and he was our top scorer last season, recently signed permanently and only 24. That will push players to leave
