If it were possible, I’d like Jon Stones thanks. But we have to be serious.

I don’t think Maguire would be good for us, actually. I think he’d be gutted he’s on the downward slide, out England squad and he’d be on way too big a contract. I think Ballard is nearly as good as him in terms of his outstanding aerial attributes. Of course you’d get a much, much, much better passer, but I think we desperately need some pace at the back to help our full backs and Maguire doesn’t offer that at all. If anything he’s getting slower, which is understandable due to his age.

If we were signing someone pacy as well, maybe, but given how expensive Maguire would be, hard to see how we could afford it.

I’m guessing we’ve spoke to hes agent, saying we’ll offer him x amount.
Obviously more than what he’s on at Bologna…
Down to player now to push for the move, same situation as Xhaka was in.
Also isak situation, don’t hear Liverpool fans saying fck him he doesn’t want to sign because the deals not done in 24 hours.

Believe in our recruitment, if this one doesn’t come off I’m sure we’ll have another one lined up mate 👍
 
Signed and sealed according to Tom White last week (RR podcast today) but something must have happened he says - dont know what tho

Respect your opinion mate but imo, Maguire is on a different level to Ballard like.

People were saying no to John Stones as a suggestion previously, think some need to understand where we currently are before turning their noses up at Maguire and Stones etc.

Zero chance that either come here anyways mind. :lol:
