Calvert-Lewin (discussion on transfer)

No chance are were we even offering half of what that overrated media darling wants, lads had two double digit seasons in his career

His day, which is about three times a season, is very good.

I suspect, even if this is true, who’ll have been an extremely prohibitive (for him) pay as you play deal.

It might also shine a light on how much money we have left, which would be worrying. Not the amount, more the spread of the players recruited thus far, who are, in the most part, forward thinking.

Definite NO for me, let steady Eddie and the dreamers buy the fkr.

Good fit for what we need, unfortunately, wage-wise, he is utterly deluded about his status.

If he wasn’t, he’d have taken good deals offered by Everton and Leeds. If we were in for him, add us to the list.

Can see him going to Saudi. Nobody here has pockets deep enough to fritter away on him. Apart from maybe…

I know quite a few are still hopeful of Guiu plus an experienced striker. I don’t see it.

Particularly now the clause in Guiu’s contract has come out revealing we’ve agreed certain appearance assurances. It looks like we’re hoping Guiu will be the main man with potentially another winger coming in on the right to hopefully chip in with goals and assists.

We’ve already spent a fortune and with work still to do in defence our budget isn’t bottomless despite the hungry ogre tag.
Not guaranteed appearances. Just have to
pay Chelsea a few quid when he is left out. A better option than the Jobe scenario where he did seem to be guaranteed a start from day one.

This will just be to appease the mags when they get to 245th on their list of summer targets
It stinks of that like, just like ramsdale toooorn wa doooon when the mags miss out on striker number 50 and get this lad on a free they’ll run with the tooooorn the dirty makems dooon ya knarrrr.

I didn’t realise he was 28 thought he was a lot older. His injury record is shocking like the bloke should be happy if a club like Leeds or a contract was on offer from Everton. He really has a massive opinion of himself like.

It’s blatant isn’t it 🤣

I mean we’ve been turned down by two players we all think are shite. How convenient

There's no such thing as a pay as you play deal in professional football. He'd still have to be given a weekly wage although it could heavily incentivesied by appearance fees. It never happens, you take the risk or you don't.
