SOL expansion

Nice to read some common sense from the club on a stadium extension. Make sure the long term demand is there then consider it.

Rather than following the advice of rtg and just extending because of one season ticket sell out in our entire history, or also more importantly for the many concerts we hold at the stadium, or even better just put 6,000 extra seats on the stadium (doesnt matter if used) just so we can extend our corporate offering.
But they've already done plans for the East Stand etc, read it on here. Announced soon.

Absolutely. Its not a case of being short sighted or a lack of ambition, its called being sensible and making sound decisions financially

Touch of class the new monty stand. Noticed on the photos they cleared out the seats from the dugout, hoping they put wooden benches in for the away team like and ne roof over the heads.
Did they put the old seats back in or were they new

If corporate seating is worth so much, could do a double height box area above the east stand with a single row around the rest of the stadium (once south is extended)

I feel I’m being picky here, but the search function is useless, then you tell us about something & make us search for it?!

Give us a link for fucks sake
someone else can get a warning posting the archive link 😉
not really as I couldn't be arsed

Took much longer to get in on Saturday (South Stand). Bag inspectors were tagging bags, then the turnstiles seemed slower to acknowledge your ticket? in the end they just let everyone in without scanning e tickets.
Inside has had a full redecoration. Looks much better, and felt more open as the wooden fence has gone separating the family enclosure. However at half time you couldnt get to the bogs due to the queues at the bars. Complete logjam, worst Ive ever seen it.

Our tickets were for access 51/52 but they were shut so we had to go in South stand and they didnt work so the stewards had manually let us in - think this was the same for a lot of people ...The whole opening only part of the stadium was all a bit of a clusterfuck by the club...toilets at half time were a joke also... Not complaining as im not that bothered but just stating fact that they got it wrong

The 2000/2001 season when the Stadium was extended to 48,707 the back of the North Stand where the BCB is/was, just had white sheet metal at the back, the Black Cats Bar was developed in the close season and opened for the 2001/2002 season. I've got a huge Framed Panoramic Photo from 2000/2001 in the loft somewhere that shows this.
Which is what I've just posted

Its always like that when they only open part of the ground. Could argue it'll be no different when the ground is at capacity but I wouldn't bother going for a pint then either.

Stoke, FA Cup? That was as bad as I’ve seen it downstairs at half time for a piss. But I’m pampered in the west stand, because I am considerably better than youuuuuuuu (Harry Enfield).

I didn't claim one was totally shit and one was great though. That might be the general sentiment but I just said I would rather drink one than the other, which might suggest the addition of the single extra hop is to my preference.
Not one person has said that Madri is great. Just that it's better than Carling. Which it so obviously is.
