Going purely off clips i liked the look of that lad. Looks tall, composed, quick & naturally left sided. Not sure why it hasn't worked out for him at West Ham though.
 
Surely if this one was going to happen, it would have happened by now already.

We were supposed to have all but met their asking price a good whole ago now.

Some transfers just drag on for ages. We’re surely nearing decision time now though. Seems crazy in the light of all the good work they’ve done to think we could be heading into the opening fixture with Ballard as the only decent option at CB

As one poster said if we’ve met their asking price and they’re still messing us about I’d expect the club to have moved on to other targets.

Our need for CB’s is very much a priority.

The same outfit then backtracked said “talks on hold” while the player makes his mind up.
at the minute the consensus seems to be that he has two offers. Us or Bologna (which he had already turned down a contract extension). I think the talk last week was to draw interest from Spain, but none of tge clubs there can match our price.

Bologna initially wanted €25m which apparently we met (22+3), but some talk was they upped their asking price. Nothing has moved since but it has been said the player will decide this week. I’d imagine we will hear for definite one way of the other as the late last week reports seem to be all just posturing. Personally I think it will happen as we have matched their (initial) asking price and the player won’t recover offers from Spain which satisfy both club and player.

How do you know we aren't close to one ? Our transfers so far this season seem to happen quickly without any links
