That should hopefully not be an issue here. It doesn't look like a "lightweight" bridge, the design should also look at dynamic loading and the natural frequency of the structure.Synchronous lateral excitation

Being involved in any accident would likely mean a decent payout from the council. I know when they re-did the anti-vandal / climb paint on the wear bridge I ended up with a load on my clothes and hands. I got a 2 grand payout, court agreed with me it wasn’t cleared marked as anti vandal paint.Imagine if this thread ends up tragically bumped
Serious on my behalf, they really aren’t things that should be messed around with. The level of footfall this bridge will see is genuinely unmatched anywhere for a footbridge. That should hopefully not be an issue here. Anyway I'm not sure it's a serious post from the OP. Maybe he could be first over though?
'Thought about it'...... Genuinely this has to be a wind up.I’m not doubting they’ve thought about it. My mate knows way more about bridges than you or I and said he was concerned. Time will tell.
Aye, if I’m drinking all day. Hot dog or jumbo sausage before, then a double cheeseburger after before drinking again.
Would be too expensive getting a hot dog and burger in a restaurant when I’m out all day drinking for the match.
Haha aye it's got a crack down the side and none of the engineers or project team have picked this up.I had a little look with my new binoculars the other day I thought I saw a small crack in the side. Would be a nightmare if it fell down , since its a central detail on the new kit .
Your mate is an idiotDoes anyone know if there is a plan in place to test how it holds up under the weight of full match-day footfall? It almost feels like we are being made the guinea pigs to test its strength. A mate of mine was on a run down the river, he worked on the Megyeri Bridge whilst living out in Budapest and said he had some real worries about the standard of work on our new footbridge. He said the abutments (end supports for transferring loads) didn’t look sufficient for the loads it would need to transfer on a matchday.
There are "footbridges" all around the London stadium and Wembley as well as others all over which have a capacity greater than the SOLBeing involved in any accident would likely mean a decent payout from the council. Edit, link didn't workDavid Bruce said at the talk in tonight that it actually has a capacity of 10 average people, or 6 mags. Match day stewards will operate a traffic light system to retain structural integrity.
I obviously just assumed it was rust, as there was nothing about anti vandal paint. Took 3 weeks to get off my hands, had to phone in sick from work so lost income etc.![]()
That’s a whole different thing , tell us more
Heavy session on the ale this evening?I obviously just assumed it was rust, as there was nothing about anti vandal paint. Took 3 weeks to get off my hands, had to phone in sick from work so lost income etc.
It's been tested, Mickey Quinn walked back and forth 8 times.Does anyone know if there is a plan in place to test how it holds up under the weight of full match-day footfall?
