Robin Roefs 🇳🇱 compendium

Seems a bit of a gamble this, probably 4th or 5th on our list for keepers. I can see Patto staying now and competing with this lad, think that would be the wise thing to do.

Considering there were literally zero links to Roefs prior to this morning, it's impossible to say, but given we were strongly linked with Bulka and Petrovic he was arguably third choice, not fourth or fifth.

Patterson is statistically a middle of the road Championship GK and nowhere near good enough for the PL.

There'll be no competition between them. Roefs will be our new number one.

risky but hopefully finds his feet. Must be highly Rated by the club.
As Patto still is a good option if he needs some time to settle. Could be good competition for both.

We need 2 keepers of a decent level. Can't risk going into a Premier League match with Simon Moore or Blondy in goal. Can't expect a 22 year old keeper in only his 2nd season to be a smashing success as an ever present in the Prem from day 1. We need both options.
I agree, but Patto's whereabouts and state of fitness is an enigma wrapped up in a mystery atm. So strange!

If you're down with Diarra show some proof raise the roof
If you're down with Sadiki show some proof raise the roof
If you're down with Granit Xhaka show some proof raise the roof
IF WE'RE BACK, THEN SHOW ME SOME PROOF: ROBIN ROEFS

Or maybe he was first choice and the other two were bollocks.

Or maybe he was tenth choice and nothing else has come off.

We'll never know.

As for there being no competition between him and Patto: that's just you speculating. Who is to say that it won't push Patterson to get his finger out and get fitter and fight for his place? He's still a young lad, in goalkeeping terms and will prove to be a good premier league keeper, if he wants it badly enough. He has all of the tools, he just needs to make sure they're always kept sharp and polished.

Sounds good, I’ve noticed that the PSR hit is minimal for us. Is it because the long contracts?

Assuming those costs are similar straight away next season though? So say for arguments sake we have £20m PSR hit this season, would we straight away have £20m PSR hit next season?

Sorry if that’s confusing.
We are the only team, I think, with a more or less free hit in year one of the EPL PSR rolling 3 year cycle. Both Leeds and Burnley had their chance and ballsed it up. We may well balls it up, but my God, such bravery and vision to go all in like this.

With Xhaka and the goaly, the stage is set for talented strikers and CBs to look at us and say "howld on. Maybe these lads are deadly serious."

Think CM is done for us personally, unless you mean CBs?
