Robin Roefs 🇳🇱 compendium

I dont think he will.

weve signed him to be number 1.

if lille and ajax were in for him, why would he come to us and sit on the bench ?

You might well be right but he's still only 22, in his second season of professional football, moving abroad for the first time towards the end of pre season. I'm confident he'll be our number 1 either by the end of this season or the start of next but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be thrown in right from the start. Give him the chance to adapt and be ready, keep the pressure on Patto to perform at his best, play him in the cups and any drop in form from Patto and he gets his chance.

I suspect Patto will start against West Ham, but any drop in form and this lad will get his chance.
We might find out the full extent of his injury if we sign Roef. I think we’ve been keeping quiet about the extent of it so that other clubs don’t try to get an extra couple of million out of us.

Posted earlier but he had a goals prevented rate of +9.7 in the league last season, meaning he was essentially worth 10 goals to them across their league campaign. That's a pretty sensational return.

Then you look at his age, the crosses prevented rate (which has been a quality that all of the GK's we have been linked to have had, so clearly an area we have identified as being important), save percentage etc.

He looks a prototypical data-driven signing as his numbers jump off the page.

Puts a challenge to both keepers to be at the top of their game if not then the other one will surely be given a chance, competition for places all over the team can only be a good thing.

Roughly the same age as Pickford when he left Sunderland and went to Everton for £25-30 million eight years ago.

That's not to say he's as good as Pickford, but potentially he could be the future Dutch keeper off the back of a great first season in the Dutch top flight and a good run in the U21 side.

Rather try him than Ramsdale.
