Jack Clarke

I think Mundle if he could stay fit over a prolonged period of time has more to offer our current team as we seem heavily reliant on quick wide players on the break. Clarke was more of a ball carrier, and a good one at that at championship level. I don’t think it’s fair to compare them as they have very different attributes, and like I say Mundles fit this team and the system we play more than Clarke. I also don’t think Clarke will get another move to a premier league club and I stand by that.

He's definitely faster, and I would say also stronger - so I would agree that he has more potential to be a Premier League standard player. But we haven't seen him have a proper run of games.
Clarke always cuts in and is very dangerous doing that. Mundle has that but he is also a threat going outside. Clarke never linked up with his winger and always ignored the overlapping run. Mundle is very good at linking with his man. Mundle gets back and defends more effectively and as you say he's faster and stronger.

If he wasnt injury prone he'd be a really good find.

I have just had a look at Jack Clarkes stats and he could be one of those players who just found the right club in ourselves as everything he did before and after us was pretty bang average to be fair. I know we can debate who is better between him and Mundle and how the Ipswich move was rubbish to be fair, but one thing I always ask myself is what if he stayed here, would he have had the same impact and still be a huge part of our team, or have we moved ahead of his level.
