Perhaps you should believe what you are told rather than produce a fallacious argument to counter it. The T20 format has remained largely unchanged throughout its existence and provided a financial lifeblood to counties and attracted a new level of supporters. Counties were " coerced" reluctantly to accept the new tournament.Would they? I keep getting told this. But even if it was possible, the counties had 20 years to do so. And they could never agree on a competition format that achieved it. It’s the counties that want to have their cake and eat it really. It’s the counties that want both tournaments that cause the fixture congestion.
As to the cake element if this was shared equally amongst counties rather than some receiving disproportionate much larger amounts and T20_marketed properly there wouldn't be financial difficulties in cricket.
