I have nowt against Boro, in my ideal (unrealistic) world we stay up, you come up, mags go down. But I'm embarrassed for you here, we have spent £104m (so far), we are very happy with where we are now, as much as we liked Jobe and Watson.
Not saying you shouldn't be happy, far from it.
Was just getting at the fact that most clubs lose players these days.
It was in reply to the person who went on about 'all' the players we'd supposedly lost, when in reality the ones we've 'lost' were mainly loans that didn't work out (and were short term anyway), or a couple of squad players (one of which has been out on loan best part of 2 seasons).
Yes, you've shown ambition and spent decent amounts on players, but you have still lost a couple of good? players.
In short, it was only a response to somebody that was seemingly trying to have a dig by making something seem 'worse' than it actually is.
What has been the fans reaction to selling Latthe Latth in January instead of waiting until the summer? Losing him was a big blow to your playoff hopes
To be honest, I don't think it made a lot of difference.
He apparently wanted to go to Ipswich last summer, so (to me) it was always the case that he was off in January window, and our performances were inconsistent (putting it mildly) all season , not just after he left.
The 'replacement' was the disappointing bit - would have been nice to have brought a striker in that could actually score goals.
In truth though, it was blatantly obvious (to me) even before Christmas that we weren't good enough to make a serious challenge.
I knew things were bad after you lot did the double over us.
