England v India - Third Test, 10/07

I mean that’s true when the difference is say between averaging 26 and 30 - but 19 and 31? There’s no way the two records are comparable, regardless of what reasoning you use.

That’s like saying Root’s record is comparable to Ian Bell. Both great cricketers but one is undoubtably better than the other.
I think it’s more like comparing Kohli to Michael Clarke.

Way more factors to take into account than simply a bowling average.

Brett Lee won a ODI World Cup, two ICC Champions Trophies and three Ashes series and is the 4th most successful Australian bowler of all time. Saying Bumrah is on a different stratosphere and by far a better bowler is just wrong.

Going well Big C ?

I’m slowly losing me marbles
Not bad mate…you ?

Apart from losing marbles ;)

Funny enough I was on way to new tip the other day and road closures had me heading via Pallion. Had a drive around Victory street, Pallion school etc

It’s strange going back. I’ve not been over for 5 years nor lived for over 30 in Pallion

I’m doing well but time is ticking now. The mrs says it’ll not be long until I’m in a nursing home

She’s a lovely lass :D

Brett Lee was comfortably my favourite ever bowler. The chainsaw celebration, the absolute pace, the hostility but sporting nature he had. Absolute theatre, every time he had the ball in hand.

I can’t stand the lot of them, me.

Shastri, Karthik, Gill, Pant, Kohli, Siraj et al …all wallopers.

Which is a shame because their country is incredible and the people there generally lovely.
I have to say, I've always found there cricketing team a real strange beast.

The Aussie cricket team are full of c*nts, but in my experience, 99.9% of Aussies are just c*nts.

Yet almost every Indian I've ever met are humble, friendly, polite and self deprecating, yet their cricket team are a bunch of absolute helmets, time after time
Aye he was worth watching that’s for sure. That whole Australian era of sides was special, much as it pains me to say it.
One of the all time great opening partnerships
One of the all time great no.3's
The best spin bowler ever
The best WKBatter ever
One of the best seamers ever
Definitely a claim as the best attack of all time (I know many will say Windies or Bodyline)

They were f***ing unreal.

I can remember when the Indian cricket team weren’t like what they are now.

It changed under Ganguly and became more competitive, but it was under Kohli that it crossed over into unpleasantness.

Judging by Indian cricket Twitter and social media in general I can only assume it has bled into the psyche of the wider Indian public.

Fully agree re the Ozzies

They were that good their second team played in their annual ODI competition in 95/96. Their second team knocked out England IIRC.

Missed most this afternoon. Just caught the highlights. Looks like our bowlers toiled but stuck at it, fair play.

That run out from Stokes at lunch was key. Little fat shit was stepping through the gears, glad we got him. Bash did well to get Rahul, jury is still out on him though but that top order wicket will do him the world of good.

Disappointed at the 3-4 run out opportunities missed. Could've had a little lead but getting the last 4 wickets for 10 runs makes up for that imo.

Test and series on a knifes edge. Could go either way Day 4. Hopefully we smash the fuck out of them. Leave an hour at end of days play with a lead of 375. That should be tempting enough without being daft.

Been a class series. Love test cricket!

I bet he fights dirty too. Slaps scratches and bites.

Is there an Indian you don't like mate?
VK, almost as if It's the person not where they are from ;)
