Looking like a player for this season Not for us though . Miles off Prem but has very good qualities , strong , low centre of gravity , finishes well and seems intelligent enough . Like to see him get a top of div 1 loan

I know that I was training at blackburn at the time (u15s) and was there when he scored the winner v Man Utd. The fans were singing his praises but he wasn’t thought of highly by the coaches or club even then. Was a bit like when wickham had that great little run in 2014
 
Of course it’s too early to really form an opinion, but I think he deserves persevering with through pre-season to see where he is at when it finishes.

Think the smart option is getting him out on loan somewhere he’d be a starter. At that age, you need to be playing regularly

The positive if today is really that there’s more likely to be decent suitors

You’re right, I had to google but I was confusing Deane with Byfield. Also it was Marcus Stewart not Stephen Elliott which is what I had said before …so I was half right! 😂

So the season I was thinking of we had Kyle, Stewart, Smith, and Byfield

That sounds about right. I think it was Kyle's good season for us.

Like night and day for the kids those two though. Not saying Abdullahi will definitely make it here but he's much further ahead comparatively just on effort alone
