Should we target a trophy next season?

Obviously staying up is the main priority, but I’d absolutely love us to go for a trophy and take them both seriously. Being a prem side with some big signings so far, there’s absolute no reason why with a bit of luck in the draw we can’t compete.

Obviously the FA cup would be preferable, but would settle for the Mickey Mouse trophy instead. All the big teams chucked it last season, so there’s definitely an opportunity to be had there.
Ffs another one? So are you an alter ego of deluded world so u can put this on twitter as more deluded mackem shit? We’ve just come up we’ve got to survive first.

If we play our first team in the League Cup (like the filth do) we'll go deep in that competition but given staying up and keeping players fit has to be the priority that would be insanity.

Na, you still look stupid for saying we can win the league this season like.

There's nothing wrong with having realistic targets, which is clearly staying up this season. If we finish comfortably away from the relegation spots, then that would be superb given other clubs recent history after gaining gaining promotion and being relegated the season after.
Not really, I bet you said it was impossible for Man Utd and Spits to finish 15th and 17th too! I bet you said Leicester would never win the league! I bet you said Wrecsam couldn't become the first in history to win triple promotions, I bet you said Nottingham Forest would fail after buying 20 odd players! I bet you said Crystal Palace could never win the FA cup!

The premier league is more competitive than ever because of the spending restrictions, IF you buy well, and I think we have so far.

If we go into this season with the attitude of survival, we will not survive. The players need to have a winning attitude instilled in them, no fear, we should be the feared. They need to visualise themselves as boys playing their first games, visualise how fun it was and how there was no fear or nerves, then they need to play like that in the premier league.

It's all mental, other teams might have better individual talent, but if we have the best team mentality it will make up for that.

We will shock them all and they will learn to fear us, oh yes they will.

Aim to win every game, there's more easy games in the league Cup than we'll face in the Prem week in week out, the ammount of games won't hurt us because we're dropping from 46 plus cup games to 38 plus cup matches.

The players we have need experience, I'd just go for it, but I'm not the manager.

We came close when we had man city in the final, so don't see any reason at all given a favourable draw we couldn't give a push and stay in the league

I didn’t say we’d win anything, said we should target one. The same as they done last season. It’s not impossible lad
Where’s the evidence that their target was a trophy? Getting to the quarters of a cup means fuck all. We managed it in the third division.

Big signings? Are you f***ing serious?

Too many unknowns atm. How quickly will new players settle; are they top PL, mid or less; luck of the draw in cups; squad depth etc. Plenty of reasons to be optimistic but reality can kick you in the arse

So you are telling me as they started progressing they weren’t aiming to win the competition? Were they just playing for bantz?
