Don’t quite understand that. Surely if we were willing to pay ~25m last week it’ll still be ringfenced for the position? We’ll have priority positions where we know we’ll need to spend a certain amount in. Would be a worry if they’ve suddenly realise they’ve spent too much on midfielders
 
I wouldn’t actually mind Ramsdale. Decent keep, just made a dreadful career move to Southampton. Sam Johnstone is ridiculous and not good enough at all.

I don’t think that’s the case

These keepers might also be rotation options. Johnstone is a back up keeper now and ramsdale might be involved in a swap say if Patto goes other way

I don't think Ramsdale is much good either tbh. I'll be very surprised now if we went out and signed a top keeper.

Hopefully I'm wrong.
 
I don't think Ramsdale would be worth the money Southampton would want for him. Having said that, he's a decent goalkeeper. I wouldn't be against exploring a loan with obligation to buy if we stay up
 
Can’t believe people are believing Alex Crook saying Ramsdale is a target 😳

The club will have other targets that gonk wont know who though ffs
 
Can't believe that after wanting to spend circa £20m on a keeper we are now considering Ramsdale etc. Hoping just paper talk and soon some 'unknown' rated keeper will be pulled out of the SAFC hat.

Cheers for that.. Yep it's all about the TV money, although the size of the ground limits the kids getting in etc..

Anyway at least we should be up to over 20k in a few years with the new ground plans. Looking forward to coming up again this season. Last time I had the cheapest round I had ever bought on an awayday ;)
 
Keeper is a vital position and does need improvement. The same for CBs. Its going to be an incredibly tough season for the lads
