England v India - Third Test, 10/07

 Classic four there Zachery

Edge over the slips to thirdman
Best shot he's played, and it still had all the control of a drunk driver
Bashir a worse selection than Crawley for me and that saying something as both should not be playing
Bashir is the worst selection I've ever seen. Picked off a youtube video ffs  absolute madness to stick with him

Double figures for Creepy. Raise your bat Zak, lad

Wonder if that is just Shubman saving face.

Yeah, makes no sense not to want to bat first given how many runs they’ve already scored this series and added to the fact that 3/4 of England’s pace attack spent the best part of four days in the field less than a week ago.

Mind you, Lords historically is best for batting on Day’s 2 & 3 - not that it’s generally a minefield on Day 1 mind.

Duckett was given a chance when others had discarded him and Foakes was the preferred option of many to keep
Yes but he averaged 72 at 76 SR in 2022. While Lees was not doing the job McCullum wanted and got the nod instead for Pakistan.

Crawley averaged 32 with 3 centuries in FC before his callup. His situation was purely on potential more like Rehan,Bashir, Hartley and Hull picks.

Duckett and Smith both earned their spot on performance.

Yeah I agree mate, you can’t have a first choice spinner for a country when his own county want him now where near their side!!

Anyway lets hope these two put on 300-0

They ain't turfing out Crawley as they want him for Australia. So lets hope this is the innings that turns the tide for him.

He's looking all over the shop though.

Another classic good shot through the covers

He knows everyone is thinking the same and looks like he’s said sod this , I’ll get a few before the inevitable

Undoubtedly.

IIRC I started a Crawley finished thread about 18 months back

Surprised it hasn’t been bumped to hell

Has he ever actually ‘started’ though? Can’t be a ‘hasbeen’ if you’re a ‘neverwasbeen’ ;).
