Simon Adingra 🇨🇮 Signed!

Certainly not all negative (plenty saying it’s a good signing for us) but most Brighton fans also aren’t exactly concerned he’s off…

Theres always some sour grapes with that like.

I'm sure there were Birmingham fans saying Jobe was their fourth most promising youth product that year.

Have a read of it pal, it’s deffo not sour grapes like. You can tell that by what they’re writing

Most seem to say he's a good player, some say he has had a poor/bitty last season. Sounds familiar with players we've signed for years now- and they mostly improve. Good feeling about this one.

He might not be what Brighton need and they might be better than him, we’re at totally different levels at the minute and us signing him is a brilliant signing, hopefully one day we might out grow him and not be too fussed if he’s sold but for the now it can only be a positive for us.

Hi all. Brighton fan here. Firstly it's brilliant to see you back in the Prem where you belong and good to see you doing some good business in the transfer window.

Regarding Adingra - he now has plenty of experience which is what you need and he is quick and direct and doesn't get knocked off the ball easily. The problem for him at the Albion is that Mitoma is ahead of him in the pecking order and it is hoped in the 'Albion' way that Watson will be his understudy and potential future replacement if Mitoma moves on in the next 12 months. Adingra wants to play regularly and hence the reason he was happy to move on. He's a great lad with a good attitude and work ethic.

I genuinely hope he does well for you. Good luck this coming season.

He lost his place to a player that’s been on fire so not much he could do let’s be honest. When Watson was linked and made the moves many me included saw him as our back up winger behind mundle they see him second choice so can see why many ain’t that fussed and they’re good at signing players so no doubt have a few more including Watson behind the Japanese lad.

Is it true all your signings will be off to the AFCON in December?

We're 2 players down ourselves in December because of that pain in the arse tournament.
Not le fee
It's going to damage our European spot place imo. Probably finish outside the top 6/7 because of it

TBF I don't think there was much concern with Tommy Watson going.
Brighton have better players in those positions, like we preferred mundle to Watson

This is Brighton we are talking about, they are much further on than us, just because he might not be for them right now doesn't mean he isn't a great signing for where we are, and he's only 23 and can still get better
This. He's never getting ahead of Mitoma and there's no shame in that. And because of that, they probably don't always see the best of Adingra, loads of wingers need regular football to try and get consistency. I'm not surprised they're happy enough for him to go. They've got plenty options, including Watson as a prospect. But I think he'll be a really good signing for us and, given regular football, he could be a great signing
